Managing student progress can be achieved in many different ways. Summative and formative assessments can be a variety of different things; it also differentiates based on grade level as well. I have had the opportunity to witness DIBELS, SIR testing, and 3rd grade math assessment during my student teaching. Additionally, I knew to give extra time for reading, read a test to them, or have them work with a higher level student.
